What is Trade License?
Trade License is a license or a permit issued by the municipal corporation to allow any individual or business to carry out a particular trade or a business for which it is issued in the given premises.
BBMP Trade License In Bangalore
Trade License is a permit from the local authority of Bangalore to carry a trade business in particular local area. Trade license is mandatory for all the eating establishment like hotels, restaurant, canteen, food, stall, bakeries, sale of meat and vegetables, sale of other food items, provisional stores etc. It is mandatory for trades which use motives like manufacturing factories, flour mills, cyber cafe etc. and it is also mandatory for offensive and dangerous trades like a barber shop, dhobi shop, cracker manufacture or other dangerous trades. So as above mentioned it is mandatory for everyone who is carrying dangerous business activity and above given trades and in case of failure of obtaining trade license you may have to face legal trouble and your business will be shut down by the local authorities.
Trade License is a certificate/document issued by the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP), Bangalore, or authority Concerned, which grants the permission to carry on a particular trade or business for which it is issued.
BBMP Trade License registration procedure
The steps to be followed in order to get a BBMP Trade License are:
1. An applicant must prepare documentation in order to make an applicant for BBMP Trade License
2. Then the applicant must make online application towards the concerned authority
3. Submit acknowledgement to the local municipality corporation
4. Authority shall come for a physical inspection
5. Then the applicant must make payment of the government fees
6. After successfully completing all the steps, an applicant shall get a trade license certificate
Documents Required
1. Latest property tax receipt
2. Rent agreement copy (if the building is on rent)
3. No objection certificate from adjacent / immediate neighbour for residential zone area
Trade license Renewal
The trade licenses in India are renewed in between 1st January to 31st March. The validity of a license that is issued by the municipal authority is for a period of 1 year and it must be renewed every year.
The application relating to the renewal of the license is required to made within 30 days from the date of its expiry. If the renewal procedure is delayed, then it might attract fine relying on the rules and regulation of the issuing authority.
Payment Options
There are 3 Options for payment relating to the BBMP trade license, which includes;
1. Online Payment: Once the applicant has saved the Application, select the payment gateway type and click on Proceed to Payment.
2. At MOH Office/Bank: Once the applicant has saved the Application, download the application through clicking on Save & pay later at MOH/Bank office.
3. Submit the Application form at MOH /Bank along with DD/Cheque /Cash (in case the trade fee is below Rs 1000)
